Hey there,
the last two years I posted journals about which Conventions I'm going to attend.
This year is probably going to become calm for me and everyone else ~

The next two weeks I'm forced to stay at home using my vacation days and what's coming afterwards, nobody knows yet.
I hope all of you're staying healthy, avoiding meeting other people.
Maybe this is also a chance to become more active on the platforms again.
Would you be interested in watching me drawing (either live or on youtube)?
Would you like to see any tutorials (not that I'm great in such stuff, but I can try)?

Since travelling or anything else outside that could make fun is not an option, tell me: What do you do?
Does your country have any restrictions?

All good wishes to you

Hey there :)
I'll drop another of my rare updates here. The new year is passing already very quick. D:
If you're planning to go on Conventions as artist, you need to sign in quite early. I was lucky to get a room at Estrel in Berlin again which means I can attend Eurofurence (Europes biggest furry convention). This year I'll share a room with dear Xantarax and hope to get a table at dealers den and art show again. I loved doing the presentation last year, showing and describing the different materials for creating a mask base for fursuits.
If you're interested you can see the presentation here:
I'd like to prepare another one but don't have a topic in mind. :/ Any ideas?
Other than Eurofurence, I'm going to attend Comic Con Stuttgart and Hanami (Ludwigsburg). It's less about earning money than spending some awesome days with dear SchneeAmsel again.

As for the money aspect I wanted to try etsy. Last year I got pretty addicted with enamel pins, started buying quite a lot and even ordered a lot with my own designs.
At the beginning of this year I realised that I won't get rid of the many personal pins only by selling them on conventions.
I'll keep it open until May and see if anyone is interested in the articles, otherwise it will be closed again. :P

Hope you're doing good and enjoy your day. :)

Hey you out there
My convention year containing RPC, Comic Con Stuttgart, CC Offenburg and Eurofurence (EF) has ended at the end of August.
RPC and CC Stuttgart are two cons SchneeAmsel and me are visiting for some years. You know the people and the halls and you kind of know what to expect. CC Offenburg asked us to come as artists after they had seen us in Stuttgart. But EF I attended as common visitor two times before but I never knew what would happen sitting behind an artist table. I was heavily surprised!

RPC is a role play convention in Cologne using two halls of the giant fair area in the city. They used to offer a lot of pen and paper games to try out and system books to buy as well as table top workshops, show offs and stores. Additionally they used to have a cosplay contest, a little area for them and us artists sitting along the walls. Outside the halls there is a little midieval market. This year they shut down parts of the main hall. I got the impression that less table top/pen and paper was there but merchandise stores everywhere. The artist alley and especially the cosplay area grew a lot making it hard to stand out as a single artist but seeing some amazing stuff from other persons. Still the con kind of lost it's flair of being a niche con for those being interested in trying out new games, playing cards or making the first adventure. It became more of a Comic Con.

Which leads me directly to the two Comic Cons we attended this year. Stuttgart was a blast again. Not that much financially but I really love the people there. So many nice persons looking at your stuff, being interested how you did it. Schneeamsel and me atteded it for the third time and this time Schiraki was with us as well. It was really fun hanging out with them, drawing now and then.. like an art jam with a lot surrounding noise.
When CC Offenburg asked us, I was a bit unsure because they had only organised one con before and not even in the same city. But I was super hyped about going on a con again.. biggest mistake!! Almost no visitors, two halls filled poorly with content and we were sitting in the smaller of two halls which was smelling and hot and even more empty. First con where I spend a lot more than I earned. Never ever again!

But after this bad experiance I went to EF in Berlin. Eurofurence is the biggest Furry convention in Europe taking place in the biggest convention hotel Germany offers. I shared a table with the wonderful Hahul and took my green dragon mask and most of my con art with me. Also I held a pannel about mask material in order to make myself a bit more known and train myself in presenting in english. Both worked out amazing! :D I sold never as good as before on any con and I got a lot of good feedback on my pannel.

Looking on the numbers I should only attend EF next year but since I really like Stuttgart, I'll surely be there as well. The rest is still depending on Schneeamsel.

Second subject: Daily deviation
I got my second DD on Deviantart today. Thanks a lot for choosing my dragon mask.
But to be honest, I almost didn't recognise that I got a DD. Five years ago I got my first one and shit was going down that day! More than a thousand favs and so many comments that day.
Today I had 4 comments and maybe 10-20 favs? I'm a bit shocked how this has changed in those years. Is DA dead? DA contains my whole developement from my first start into digital art until today. I actually wanted to use it as a base/portfolio but now I'm really not sure about it anymore.

I'd like to find out how many are still active on my profile. Would you mind writing anything below my journal entry if you read this?
Thanks.

Hey everyone :)
I just opened a Ko-fi page at the weekend. I'm not a professional artist and I'll never be but since I'm adding content on some pages I was thinking, why not asking for a tip, if you like what you see?
Soo I got one tip and it's quite a big one which I instantly used to upgrade my DA account. I'm so happy about this amazing feedback.
The space bg is back and I got a nice navigator which I fell in love seeing on ShadeofShinons profile.

Back to topic:
This year I'm planning to attend as artist on three German conventions showing off my dragon masks, prints and original art.

12.-13. of May - RPC Roleplay convention in Cologne (applied and accepted)
31. June - 1. July - Comic Con Germany in Stuttgart (applied and accepted)
11.-12. August - Comic Con Offenburg (applied and accepted)
22.-26. August - Eurofurence in Berlin (applied and accepted)

I've visited some conventions with my dear friend SchneeAmsel in the last years. It's really a lot of fun to be creative a whole day and get direct positive feedback.
I hope I'll see some of you at my spot. Never hesitate to talk to me.

Art update:

Being still not really done with my Star Wars enthusiasm, I started drawing another Rey/Ben picture.

Poor Nightpark is still waiting on my half of the trade. I'm so sorry. D:
After your amazing part I'm so unhappy with every sketch, I'm starting. >_>"
See and love her picture of my beautiful Leu!!!

Yesterday I had a little rage quit trying to find some help on DA regarding the core membership. The help desk is just aweful. :/
Then I was like 'meh no membership for me then'. This morning when I woke up, two kind anonymus persons got me each a month of membership. :3

 Thanks so much for your support.

Sooo since I have a nice Journal background again, let's make a little life update. :)
Me and my boyfriend are living close to Stuttgart. Since I'm working fulltime now, I have the funds to get myself some casting materials. So most of my left free time I'm using to model, cast and sew dragon masks. My first suit walk with the red dragon (head and claws by myself) was in November in Pforzheim.
I was really enjoying walking in mask but honestly the making process is more fun. ^^"
